LogAud-Student’s Educational Council (LAUR)

Logoped and Audiology Students' Educational Council, LAUR, is one of the educational councils belonging to the MF. LAUR consists of students from the logopedics and audiology programs who work voluntarily to advocate for students' interests in educational and study environment-related issues.

The Educational Council Board is the executive body of LAUR and has some degree of autonomy. In addition, LAUR includes course representatives and officials from various committees. LAUR meets in StorLAUR and StyrLAUR. StorLAUR is open meetings for students in the logopedics and audiology programs. During these meetings, students, course representatives, the Educational Council Board, and other representatives and officials from various committees gather to discuss and make decisions. StyrLAUR is the executive board meeting where operational issues are discussed, and points for StorLAUR are prepared.

Program Board for Rehabilitation Education (PNR)

Occupational therapy, audiology, physiotherapy, and logopedics programs are led by PNR, which is the decision-making body for these programs. PNR is thus a board with several committees that handle various types of matters and propose decisions to PNR. In PNR and its committees, one can participate as a student representative and influence the decisions made in the programs, which we aim for!

Meetings for PNR and its committees take place during the daytime. Student representatives have the right to have a new opportunity to make up for any mandatory elements missed due to study monitoring. Several positions are salaried, meaning that you receive financial compensation for your engagement. Usually, both a regular and a substitute are elected for student positions, where the substitute participates if the regular representative is unavailable. The majority of student representative positions are elected at the end of the spring semester via the MFs General Assembly (FUM). If a position is vacant, it can be applied for at any time during the year.

Learn more about how PNR is organized, meeting dates, and more at this link. The link also provides information about the committees under PNR. Read more about each student representative position under the description for All positions.
