LOCUS LUND

Our very own house

The year was 1975, when Holger Crafoord donated his private house on Tunavägen 5 to us. After moving around for over 80 years, renting locals at Patologen, AF, Anatomen and other more or less borrowed premises, we were finally able to move into our own villa, Locus Medicus Lundensis (or Locus Lund for short). The villa was built in 1925 for Professor Lars Edling. The donation was aimed at both us and  Läkaresällskapet i Lund (the Medical Association in Lund), and was commissioned to be managed by a foundation (Locus Medicus Stiftelse). Since then, the foundation has chosen, after the nomination done by MF, a house foreman who houses two rooms on the top floor and sees after the house.

Today, a large part of our social activities take place at Locus Medicus Lundensis. This is where you will find Lund's tastiest pea soup, and our delicious Sunday brunch. Locus Lund also houses the Locus Pub, and this is also where KULU organizes many of their activities.
