MPH-Student's Educational Council (MPH-UR)

MPH-Student’s Education Council (MPH-UR) is one of the education councils affiliated with the Medicinska Föreningen (MF). MPH-UR consists of students from the Master's Program in Public Health who work voluntarily to represent students' interests in education and study environment-related matters.

The Education Council Board is the executive body of MPH-UR. In addition, MPH-UR includes course representatives and officials from various committees. MPH-UR holds Open Meetings and Board Meetings. Open Meetings are open sessions for students in the Master's Program in Public Health. During these meetings, students, course representatives, the Education Council Board, as well as other representatives and officials from various committees, gather to discuss and make decisions. Board Meetings are the executive board's meeting where executive matters are discussed, and points for Open Meetings are prepared.

Program Board for Master's Programs (PNM)

The Master's programs in Biomedicine, Public Health Sciences, and Medical Science are led by PNM, which is the decision-making body for these programs. PNM is a board with several committees that handle various matters and propose decisions to PNM. In PNM and its committees, students can participate as student representatives and influence the decisions made in the programs, which is what we aim for!

Meetings for PNM and its committees take place during daytime. Student representatives have the right to have a new opportunity to make up for any missed mandatory activities due to educational advocacy. Several positions are remunerated, meaning that you receive financial compensation for your commitment. Usually, regular and substitute student representatives are elected, where the latter is a reserve who participates if the regular representative is unable. The majority of student representative positions are elected at the end of the spring semester through MF's General Assembly (FUM). If a position is vacant, it can be applied for at any time during the year.

Student representative positions within PNM and its committees that can be applied for via MF for master's programs in public health sciences and medical science are

  • PNM member

  • Social Committee PNM

  • Examination Committee PNM

  • International Committee PNM member
