Physiotherapist student’s Educational Board (FysUR)

The Physiotherapist student’s Educational Council (FysUR) is one of the educational councils belonging to the Medicinska Föreningen (MF). FysUR consists of students from the physiotherapy program who work voluntarily to represent the students' interests in education- and study environment-related issues.

The Educational Council Board is the executive body of FysUR and is somewhat self-determining. Additionally, FysUR includes course representatives and officials from various committees. FysUR holds meetings called StorFysUR and StyrFysUR. StorFysUR is open meetings for students in the physiotherapy program, where students, course representatives, the Educational Council Board, and other representatives and officials from various committees meet to discuss and make decisions. StyrFysUR is the board meeting of the Educational Council Board where executive issues are discussed and points are prepared for StorFysUR.

Program Board for Rehabilitation Programs (PNR)

Occupational therapy, audiology, physiotherapy, and speech therapy programs are led by PNR, which is the decision-making body for these programs. PNR is a committee with several subcommittees handling various matters and proposing decisions to PNR. In PNR and its subcommittees, students can participate as student representatives and influence the decisions made for the programs.

Meetings for PNR and its subcommittees take place during the daytime. Student representatives have the right to have another opportunity to make up for any compulsory elements missed due to study-related commitments. Several positions are compensated, meaning that you receive financial compensation for your involvement. Usually, both a regular representative and a substitute are chosen for student positions, where the substitute participates if the regular representative is unable to. The majority of student representative positions are elected at the end of the spring term through the MFs General Assembly (FUM). If a position is vacant, it can be applied for at any time during the year.

Student representative positions within PNR and its subcommittees that can be applied for via the Medical Student Union for physiotherapy students are:

  • PNR Member

  • International Committee PNR

  • Social Studies Committee PNR
